Members of Idea Marketing Group recently attended another great event hosted by the Yorkville PAY!

Idea’s president, Darren Fox, is co-chair of the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce’s PAY program, along with Sarah Allen from FNBC Bank & Trust. The members of the PAY program work together to provide programs that simulate career motivation and help professionals in the area grow personally and professionally.

The PAY program recently held a free event and breakfast on Friday, May 11th entitled “Marketing to Millennials”. The event was hosted from 9am to 10am at the chamber office and featured panel experts, including our very own marketing manager, Becca Jude, who spoke on the best practices for marketing to millennials, and the marketing tactics that currently work best.

The other guest speakers included:
Pamela Lewis from Minor Threat Restaurant Group
Sandra Hurtado from Harmony Aesthetics
Phillip Shepard from The Petite Palette
Brad Donati from Raging Waves Water Park

Each speaker marketed for a different industry, so it was interesting and helpful to hear how each one of them marketed to millennials within their specific field. Each of them touched on the importance of social media, video, imagery, the use of hashtags, and valuable content when engaging with and marketing to the younger generation.

This event was free and open to the public, and we were happy to see that almost every single chair was filled up. The audience was very responsive and engaged, allowing themselves to be a part of the conversation and asking questions left and right. We’re glad the event turned out to be a huge success, and are happy to see attendees take away valuable information that will help them in their own marketing!
