Idea Marketing Group is proud to be actively involved in the community. Although we just entered 2018, we’ve already been a part of several local events and fundraisers, and look forward to being involved in many more this year!

Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving ChildrenIdea had the opportunity to sponsor a community-wide Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event that was hosted on January 12th and 13th at Yorkville Middle School. This fundraiser brought a large group of community volunteers together to pack meals for malnourished children around the world.

Idea, along with several other community sponsors and volunteers, was able to help Feed My Starving Children in their efforts to end world hunger. It gave us an amazing opportunity to come together to learn more about hunger-related issues and lend a helping hand.

The event was held last year, in 2017, and it was such a huge success that they decided to host it again!

Southside Social “Winter in Paradise”

A few days after the Feed My Starving Children Event, Idea helped sponsor the Southside Social “Winter in Paradise” event that was hosted through the Yorkville Area Chamber of Commerce on January 17th at FNBC Bank & Trust. Other sponsors included Morris Hospital Yorkville Campus, Yorkville Auto Body, TC’s Liquor, and Upper Crust Catering.

Attendees enjoyed food, drinks, networking, and a variety of games including jenga and left/right/center. At the event, Idea’s president, Darren Fox, was also presented with the Premier Membership Plaque, highlighting his years of dedicated membership to the Chamber.

Soup it Up! And Craft Fair

Coming up on March 4th from 10:30 AM – 2 PM, Idea will also be sponsoring the Plainfield Kiwanis Club’s Annual Soup it Up! And Craft Fair. Held at Plainfield North High School, the fundraiser features a variety of delicious soups from local restaurants and crafters offering their items for sale. All proceeds go to the youth of Plainfield and their families. According to the Plainfield Kiwanis Club, over 600 participants are anticipated to attend the event each year. Last year’s event was a huge success, and we can’t wait to see how this year’s event turns out!

We are more than grateful to support such incredible community events and causes, and we look forward to many more volunteer and sponsorship opportunities in 2018. Stay tuned!
