St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated each year on or around March 17th, and is not only a day to celebrate Irish culture, but to also commemorate St. Patrick, one of Ireland’s most celebrated patron saints, who is most-famous for introducing Christianity to Ireland in the fifth century.
The St. Patrick’s Day holiday is considered a cultural and religious celebration, but over the years has become a day of drinking green beer, stuffing our faces with corned beef and cabbage, and fascinating children with stories of mystical leprechauns.
This year, St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday, which means that there are plenty of opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy some fun, St. Patty’s Day weekend activities and celebrations!
